On August 23, 2026, St. Mary Community Centre hosted a reception of appreciation for His Excellency Ahmed Hafez, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Canada.
Our large lounge was dressed in white linens and fresh flowers, with a buffet decorated with Egyptian and Canadian flags and a cake in the colours of the Egyptian flag. Together with our clergy, the Ambassador cut the cake as the community thanked him for his distinguished service, leadership and dedication.
